MY VERY FIRST VISIT TO BAGLAN COMMUNITY CHURCH.

It was almost two years ago when my school friend who now lives in Canada visited me. She has been a Christian for many years and is married to a now retired minister. It was she who made me aware of a new Church in Baglan. “It’s on the Internet” she said and that’s how I found out where Baglan Community Church was situated.

So off we went on April 27th 2003. What awaited me was to change my life. I was overwhelmed by the feeling of love in this building. The welcome given to us made a lasting impression. My friend warned me that I might not feel comfortable during the service as it would be completely different to the normal church service that I had been used to. How wrong she was. It was like a breath of fresh air. It was so relaxed and yet so uplifting. From that day on I was hooked.

When my friend returned to her Canadian home I still went to BCC and I am still attending there. I enjoy the fellowship in this church and soon realised that it was no accident that I had found my way there. I felt that the Lord was calling me for a purpose and felt compelled to belong to BCC as a truly committed member. I knew that I wanted to be a part of God’s family.

After seeing the film “The  Passion”, I knew that  I wanted to put my complete trust in God, believing that He sent His only son to die in my place so that my sins would be forgiven, and through Him have everlasting life. It was with great joy that I became a fully fledged member of BCC  in the summer of 2004.

Now I have a relationship with my God. I am a part of the body of Christ. It is a small part but I want to make that part work to the best of my ability. I feel that God is working through me and involving me in so many activities. I pray that He will guide me in the right path to do His work. I thank Him for all the many blessings that are in my life. I thank Him for the gift of Jesus as my Saviour,  and for the fellowship received when worshipping Him.

The name of my friend who has brought me back to the Lord Jesus is Grace  and I ask God to grant me the grace to continue in His service. I urge anyone who reads this to come along to Baglan Community Church and give it a try. You have nothing to lose and so much to gain.
