Cumberland Show Oct 09 Balooboo Had A Great day at the Cumberland Thanks to all judges for their comments on the kittens Made my day :)))))) Balooboo Justified (12a1) Best Persian Kitten 4 x 1st Side Classes
Critiques By Mr D Redtfeldt AC BI-COLOUR PERSIAN KITTEN, MALE: 1ST not awarded. 2 Hacking’s Balooboo Justified, Black & White. Oh, how I hated to withhold on this superb youngster, BUT his bite is VERY overshot at the moment. The list of defects to apply to all breeds, says: Noticeably undershot or overshot jaw. The key word is “noticeably.” The space was almost a quarter to a half inch over on the top. I could not in all honesty ignore this bite. At the end of the day, I have to live with all my decisions, and I always judge to the SOP and to the list of withholding faults for all breeds. I did speak to the owner/breeder at the end of judging and she completely understood my decision. She feels the bite will come right with time. BUT, I am judging on the day and not what the exhibit will be like down the road. Anyway, I do thank her for her complete understanding and I do hope that the bite comes right and he becomes the IGR CH that I think he could achieve. Big round head and wonderful Persian type. Perfect flat profile. Really broad top for one so young. Neat ears already and beautiful feathers. Big round copper eyes. Snub nose with a very good break. Full apple cheeks and firm chin. Cobby tank of a body set on short thick legs. Large round paws. Wearing a wealth of long very full coat today. White to the face. I would estimate about 65% black to 35% white in this coat. Black areas sound and shiny. White areas sparkled. Short full Xmas tree tail. Groomed to perfection and so full of himself! AC PERSIAN BREEDERS KITTEN – PART 1 1st HACKINGS’ BALOOBOO JUSTIFIED, 12a1, M, 1.7.2009 Critiques By – MRS ANNE GREGORY A very handsome and balanced kitten who was oozing potential! He was only just old enough to be at the show but was well grown, had lovely boning and substance and was just so confident! The head had breadth with width at the full cheeks and a nicely rounded forehead. The ears were small, rounded at the tips and set wide apart and low in the head. He had a short, broad nose with a stop and a firm chin. He was teething, but the bite looked fine. Expressive eyes that were large, full and round with a bold expression. The colour was dark and still rather muddy but very promising. His cobby body showed breadth of chest and he was a lovely weight. He stood low on short, sturdy legs and had large, round, tufted paws. His bushy tail gave final balance. He had a baby coat but it was soft, fine and silky rather than woolly. The black was a good depth of colour and virtually sound, the white was immaculate. He had black to the top of the head with an inverted “V” of white on the lower face. He had a white chest and underparts and there was white on all four legs. He was beautifully presented in excellent condition and had an adorable personality.
Critiques By Mrs Perkins1ST. HACKINGS BALOOBOO JUSTIFIEDDelightful Black/White Bi-Colour baby just over 3 months with a full soft fluffy coat, rounded head, tiny ears, big muddy brown eyes, firm chin, slightly over shot at present, cobby compact build, finished off with a short Christmas tree tail – happy lively young lad
Balooboo Sweet Success (1) 1st Open & Best of Breed 1st 2nd & 3rd side classes
Critiques By Mrs Crichton
1 and BOB HACKING’S BALOOBOO SWEET SUCCESS Critiques By Critiques By Balooboo Tabbyon Dreamin ( 12a1t) 1st Open & Best of Breed 1st 2nd & 2nd side classes Critiques By – MRS ANNE GREGORY 1 HACKINGS’ BALOOBOO TABBYON DREAMIN, 12a1t, F, 29.3.2009 A feisty little madam but she did have excellent type and expression. The head had breadth and balance with full cheeks and muzzle. Her ears were small, rounded at the tips and set wide apart and low. The forehead was rounded. She had a short, broad nose with a stop. The chin was good. Her eyes were large, full, round and very expression. They were a good deep orange. Cobby body with sturdy legs and a short, bushy tail to balance. Excellent coat that was long and thick. The texture was soft, fine and really full of life. She was beautifully presented. The tabby patches showed a rich brown tabby with well defined classic markings. The head was mainly tabby with a small white moustache and chin. There was tabby on the back and she had white on the chest, underparts and on all four feet. Excellent condition, I do feel she has great potential.
Critiques By Mrs Crichton A brown tabby and white kitten with good type and who was well grown for her age of six months. She had a very broad top of head with well set small ears, spaced far apart which had long ear furnishings. Large eyes were fully round and had good copper colour developing but not yet fixed and showing paler tabby spectacles. A short snub nose had a good nose break and a pink nose leather edged with pigment. Her cheeks were full and rounded, the chin was firm and deep and she had a good wide scissor bite. Tabby markings were of the classic type and were black over a rich sable agouti ground and were very clear and strong on the head region. She had an ‘M’ on her forehead, cheek pencilling and strong headlines. The left muzzle and chin were pure white and the bib and underside were also totally white. Tabby markings were a bit diffuse over the back and body markings were not so clear. The tail was short, bushy and had faint tabby rings. A girl who was very nervous and upset when handled and hence was not assessed as fully as possible which did not help her to be more highly placed. A well presented exhibit
Balooboo Willhaveno Mercy (12a1) 1st Open & Best of Breed 2nd 2nd & 3rd side classes
Critiques ByMr D Redtfeldt FEMALE: 1 & BOB Hacking’s Balooboo Willhaveno Mercy, Black & White sister to the male above. Stunning in her own way, but not the breadth of head like her brother. Round head and lovely Persian type. Good top with the ears nicely set. Round eyes of copper. Snub nose and very good stop. Cheeks quite full and the bite is acceptable (just a fraction over), firm chin. Square and cobby body. Thick short legs. Nice round paws. Another very full and long coat. Again, around 65% black to 35% white. White to the face. Black areas sound and white areas clean and bright. Wee short full tail. Presented to the last hair. Very sweet nature Critiques By – MRS ANNE GREGORY BALOOBOO WILLHAVENO MERCY, 12a1, F, 1.7.2009 This was the litter sister to my winner and was another beautiful kitten with type, style and potential. She was of similar type and conformation with lovely substance, solid muscle tone and very good boning. I felt her expression was not quite as bold as her brother’s but she was very pretty. She too had a baby coat but the black showed more shading and there was some grey, although I realise that is common in kittens of this tender age. There was a white chevron on her face and she was white on the chest and underparts. There was white on all four legs too. Again, the presentation was excellent, she was in tip top condition and had a delightful nature.

1ST OPEN CLASS CC & Best Of Breed Thanks To Her Judges Mrs T Appold Mrs J Allen And Mrs S Crichton 1 CC and BOB Hacking’s ALGERNON ADABWILLDOCritiques By Mrs Crichton A mature black and white female almost five and a half years of age with good type. She has an excellent broad top of head and a compact cobby body that was firm and solid with short low set legs. Slightly bumpy skull, neat well placed ears, large fully round eyes had excellent deep copper colour and bold expression. A very short nose had a strong stop ad a small black nose leather. The lower face had an inverted white ‘V’, the cheeks were fat and she had a broad black and white muzzle which had lovely long white whiskers. Her chin was half black and half white and she had a not quite level bite. Her coat was long and silky soft. The top of head and back of the body were totally black and very shiny. The bib was pure white and she had a fully white underside. The tail was short and fluffy and was totally black and all four socks were white. A good natured girl who I understand gained her title on the day. Congratulations!

Balooboo Sweet Success : North West Cat Show 26th Sept 09
2nd OPEN CLASS Oh Dear Junior What A BooBoo That Was !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ( hehe) 1st , 2nd , 2nd , 2nd SIDE CLASSES Critiques By Mrs CrichtonA black kitten who had very good type and who was five months old. Cobby body that was firm, set low and with short thick legs and lovely feathered paws. Well balanced facial features with a good broad top for a small kitten. Small well feathered ears were perfectly sited on the top of the head. Large eyes, well rounded, had promising muddy colour and a most appealing expression. He had a very short snub nose with a strong stop and a black nose leather which had good size nasal openings. The face had plenty of width with full well rounded cheeks and he had a balanced chin and a good scissor bite. The coat was long and soft and already had a well developed frill but was showing some isolated white hairs. The head and body were a dense black but he was a little shady grey on his flanks and under the arm pits and on the bib. Show temperament was excellent and he was happy to be cuddles in my arms. Critiques By Mrs Greagory Another pleasing kitten who is developing well and has potential; his
head showed breadth of skull and his neat little ears fitted well into the
rounded contours and were well furnished. The forehead was rounded and his
cheeks were full as was his muzzle. He had a short, broad nose with a stop
and a well formed nose leather. His eyes were spaced well apart and were
reasonably large with the colour muddy at present. The expression was not
as bold as my winner’s. He was teething but his bite was fine and the chin
good. Very good body, legs and tail; he was strong, well muscled and cobby.
The coat was a good length, thick and fine. He was a good black across the
back and virtually sound, but the frill and his underparts were very grey
and shady. Again, he was so well presented and was in excellent condition
with a super temperament. Mr Mark Pearman ~~~ Hackings Balooboo Sweetsuccess (1) (M) 09.04.2009 Five and half month old black lad of good size and weight for age. Cobby body on short legs. Broad well rounded head with neat ears well furnished and placed.Round eyes of a deep orange colour. Snub noise. Level bite. Apple cheekes and firm chin. Excellent head balance. Full coat very well prepared, soft texture. Ths coat was developing and good black to the shoulders and heat with kitten greying and browning to the body. Short full tail balanced the body. Super lad lovely temperament. |

Lovely cobby body on little legs. Broad head, just a little bumpy at present with neat ears well furnished and placed. Round eyes of a pleasing muddy orange colour. Wide snub nose. Level bite, apple cheeks and firm chin. Head developing good balance. The coat was well prepared, soft texture, every bit a kitten coat at present. The roots displayed a nice black tone with the rest of the coat showing a lot of kitten greying to the body, ruff, and tail, hopefully when the coat clears he should have a pleasing black tone. Short tail balanced the body. Lovely temperament.

Balooboo Just An Illusion Mrs L Martin Lakeland Cat Club 09 1st Open & CC 2 X 3rd Side Classes
1CC HACKINGS’ BABOBOO JUSTAN ILLUSTION. For going on 11 months this Black and White has very good body development with a nearly sound shining well groomed coat and a very attractive inverted white chevron to his muzzle, with pristine white bib, chest, legs and underparts.Pleasing open type with eyes of mid orange but showing a very slight green rim today. Nose broad which could be a tad shorter for preference with expanding cheeks and full chin. Skull big and round. Seemed to be unnerved at being handled and I needed to go into the pen to check his bite. I found out later that he’d had a bad experience at a previous show which had knocked his confidence somewhat but was improving at each show since, which is good news. Mrs Perkins Critique HACKING'S BALOOBOO JUSTAN ILLUSIAN – (23.7.08) Another well made
