The
Bridge
The Bridge was formed from the original Ladies
Evening which began many years ago. Most of our meetings are now
suitable for Gentlemen as well as Ladies and all ages, hence the change of
name. We see this as an opportunity to invite friends to our premises
who would not normally come.
We meet monthly, usually on the first Wednesday
of the month although this does vary a little owing to holidays and the nature
of our meetings.
The provisional programme for the following
year is discussed at the Annual General Meeting held in November when
subscriptions are given from those who wish to help with the expense of our
speakers.
We have a variety of meetings including
speakers, outings, theatre visits, guided walks and various meals (always
popular!).
Our meetings are not devotional, there are
other meetings during the week for this, we see it as an opportunity to meet
with friends in different circumstances.
