We organise regular lunches for students worshipping with us. On the 18th May Graham is hosting a BBQ after church.
We work in partnership with local colleges offering courses for the local community. To find out more about working with us or using our premises please contact the church office. |
Oadby Baptist Church lies in the heart of the historic village of Oadby, on the Leicester Road, just next to the shopping centre known as "The Parade". The building is in the late Victorian ‘mock gothic’ style, with a new Ministry Centre at the front, built in 1999 in a design in keeping with the historic nature of the building. The church – the people – is a thriving community adapting strongly to the challenges of a changing world, seeking to encourage the best of the old with the best of the new, and to operate effectively in the community. One consequence is that our worship and performing arts teams have been widely sought for music, dance and drama in Leicestershire, through the region and nationally.

The church is located on
Leicester Road, Oadby, Leicester, LE2 5BD, England.

Many of the halls of Leicester
University, and one from De- Montfort University, lie within Oadby (close to the
Oadby/Leicester border). As a result, although we are not a 'chaplaincy
church,' we usually have several students worshipping with us, who often join
in the drama, music, house groups, and other activities they find helpful.
We invite students to join with us for regular student lunches hosted by members
in their homes.
