Barley Change Date For Presentation Evening - (1st April 2007)

Barley have announced that this years presentation evening will now be held on Friday 25th May 2007, this date replaces to originally annouced date of Friday 11th May 2007. The presentation will be held at The Wombourne Club, Mill Lane, Wombourne, 7.30pm approx. Cost of entry will be £2.00 per person payable on the door. There will be the usual trophy presentation, raffle, buffet and disco.

Barley Land Tough Draw In Brandrick Cup - (1st March 2007)

Barley have found themselves in " The Group Of Death" in this years Brandrick Cup. Barley's Michael Freeman will have to travel back to his old club and Beacon League Premiership leaders Trysull, while Barley also face matches against Kiddiminster League leaders Swindon Dell and Wolverhampton Sunday League side Penn Hollybush.

Barley Announce Date For Presentation - (25th February 2007)

BARLEY MOW APOLOGISE - (15th December 2006)

Barley Mow Wanderers FC would like to apologize to all Referee's of the Beacon Football League, The Beacon Football League and The Birmingham County Football Association for comments made in a match report in the fixture against Tipton Rovers. Barley Mow did not wish upset or offend the referee in question or anyone else involved in football in general.

Barley Mow also wishes to apologize for displaying referee marks on there match reports. These marks were made public so that Barley players and fans could see how the club had rated the officials performances and once again did not wish to upset or offend anyone.

Both referee marks and certain comments have now been removed from the website and Barley hopes that everyone involved will accept our apologies.

Keeper Russell Faces Suspension - (21st September 2006)

Keeper Chad Russell was today confirmed that he will miss Barley's first round Beacon Cup match on 15th October 2006 against Wolverhampton Wanderers Deaf due to suspension. The suspension comes about after the keeper was sent off for denying a goal scoring opportunity in Barley's defeat in the Lester Charity Cup first round against Windsor Old Boys. The keeper is also likely to be out of action for further period (which is unknown at this time) when he goes under the knife for a Hernia operation.

Pickett Leaves Club - (25th August 2006)

Barley Mow have finally released goalkeeper Alan Pickett after a summer of disagreement between the club and player. Both parties have now settled there financial argument after the Beacon Football League involved themselves as Smethwick Heating attempted to sign the Barley keeper. Pickett in now expected to complete his signing to Division rivals Smethwick.


Barley Victorious In Air Ambulance Charity Match - (22nd August 2006)

Barley Mow took on Gornal Labour Club in a charity football match in aid of St Johns Air Ambulance. The match was played in good spirit and was a high scoring aware finishing 11-3 to Barley. In all the game raised nearly £300.00 which will be donated to this important charity.

BARLEY REQUIRE FIRST TEAM GOALKEEPER - (13th June 2006)

Barley are now on the lookout for a new goalkeeper following Picketts request for a transfer. All applicants such contact Stuart Cornaby ASAP.


Keeper Pickett Leaves Club - (13th June 2006)

Barley keeper Alan Pickett will not returning for the 2006/2007 season after deciding he wishes to move clubs. The keeper has left the club before but has always returned, this time his has made his intentions clear that he wishes to move on to another club. It is rumored that Beacon League Premiership outfit are interested in the goalkeeper but Barley have received no correspondence to such a transfer. Barley Chairman Stuart Cornaby has made it clear that the goalkeeper will be denied any transfer until financial matters with player have been resolved. The Beacon League Registrations Secretary has also confirmed that no transfer will take place without the clubs full permission.
