Match Report

Team Line Up
20 Andy Bishop A sound display. Looked comfortable on his debut. Could do little on any of the goals.
2 Mark Hennessey A top display by Enno.Worked hard and kept pretty solid at the back, also looked confident on the ball. Could have got closer to his man on Npowers second goal if being picky, should give the manager something to think about when team selection for the real games come about.
12 Shaun Porter At fault on the fourth goal but otherwise a safe display and a good first pre-season workout.
4 Matt Westbury Kept the other side at bay and show good range of passing with feet and head.
7 Mark Hill Man of the match involved in three of the four goals. Two fantastic crosses for the first two goals and an excellent placed top corner header at the back post for Barleys third.
6 Darren Wollaston Typical solid performance. Hard working, good tackling, passing and control. Lead by example.
5 Michael Cornaby Struggled with posistioning but understandably so. Filled in at the centre and with an ok showing
14 Tom Gripton Found it hard to get forward as most play was down the right and Hill on the opposite flank stole the show. But did everything the Gaffer asked of him by keeping solid by Hill pushed forward.
13 Stuart Cornaby Good touchs here and there but struggled to make an impact due to lack of pace and sharpness.
26 Chris Campbell A lot of pressure on the new signings shoulders on his debut but showed real class on the ball. Made some good sensible passing in the first half to help Barley build attacks. Maybe tried to hard to push attacks in the second half with the introduction of Blakeway and Freeman.
9 Richard Porter Good first pre-season performance. Looked dangerous in the box netting from close range and forcing the og for the first goal.
Substitutes
8 Ryan Hickman Not the best from Ryan's high standards. His man got away from him which lead up to Npowers third. But did make several good runs adding and extra attacking force in the second half. Will expect more when at 100%, pershaps suffering from earlier fixture.
24 Anthony Blakeway Posistioning good, looking to drop in midfield and get the attack going. Made some good runs but control let him down at times and needs to try and look to for the simple balls.
27 Michael Freeman Good control and finish for his goal and also some good passes to put people in to open play up. Did well also when asked to play a slightly deeper role.
17 Richard Hale Big daz would be proud. Hardworking, winning lots of balls in midfield throughout the second half. Added an extra attacking threat.
