Andy Bishop |
Blood rushed to "Bish's" head a few times today, however got away with his poor decision making. Handling as usual was sound and could to little to prevent either of the goals. |

Andy McGregor |
First start since injury that has kept his out of most of pre-season. Made some good clearances and tough tackles. The performance won't do his any harm when the manager considors his line-up for the first league game. |

Stephen Bradnick |
Made a couple of minor errors almost giving the ball away but as usual always gets away with them. The back line looking more solid since "Brads" return to the line up and a solid display as ever from the stand-in captain. |

Shaun Porter |
The normally reliable no nonsense Porter has looked particually shakey pre-season and today was no exception. Needs to step it up to meet his normally high standards if he's gonna make the back three. |

Mark Hill |
As dangerous as ever going forward, gives spark to the Barley attack with some exciting runs and crosses. Looked off the pace when trying to track back. |

Chris Hales |
Impressive first match for Barley. Looked comfortable in midfield, control, passing, creating space, heading, tackling all spot on. Just the sort of hard working simple player Barley are looking for to improve the squad. |

Michael Cornaby |
Cornaby normally a centre back played his third pre-season fixture in the centre of midfield and has certainly improved since the first game. Made some good interceptions and looks confident on the ball. Another player that struggled though when switched ti the right. Hopefully can shake off his niggling injury before the real season kicks off. |

Tom Gripton |
Always does his best to fill the managers expectations. After previous comments that "Grip" was not attacking enough he put some pay to that today venturing into the final thid getting on the end and providing chances. |

Michael Freeman |
Worked well with "Ant" in the supprting strikers role. Tracked back when needed and made useful defensive contributions. Covered a wide area of the pitch, held up the ball well and played some good balls as well as getting into the box looking for goals. Played the role behind the forward perfectly exactly how it should be. If can play like this every week the formation will soon pay off. |

Anthony Blakeway |
Worked well with "Freeman" in the supprting strikers role. Tracked back when needed and made useful defensive contributions. Covered a wide area of the pitch, held up the ball well and played some good balls as well as getting into the box looking for goals. Played the role behind the forward perfectly exactly how it should be. If can play like this every week the formation will soon pay off. |

Richard Porter |
Held the ball up well and looked comfortable on the ball, made some good passes and worked hard. Presented with very little in the way of chanes and only two shots were made out of frustration and gave no problems. |

Mark Hennessey |
Struggled with the games pace on the right when coming on. At fault on the second goal. In all looked uncomfotable out of posistion. |

Darren Wollaston |
Came on at half time and played his usual role in the side. Good performance. |
