Barley were keen to get some points on the table after last weeks disappointing display on a ridiculous pitch. It was Sedgley started the brighter and gave themselves and early advantage with a goal six minutes in. High winds in team's previous encounter had gone along way too putting Barley two goals behind by half time but there no such excuses this time round. It was a stale first half which finished off when Barley equalized on the stroke of half time when Rich P headed home from close range following a cross from the right.

The second period saw Sedgley the much better side, though Barley looked dangerous on the break. Sedgley pushed hard without trouble Barley too much at the back, however right on ninety minutes Barley through the game away, an attack down Barley's left, Sedgley crossed the ball behind on-rushing Chris Lambeth who stuck out his arm and gave away a penalty. The Sedgley forward stepped up and despite strong hands from stand-in keeper Chad the ball found the net.
