Barley's final game before the Christmas break and again with Colton Hills pitch undergoing repairs the match was switched to Windsor Avenue. Sedgley struggled for players prior to kick off and in fact started the game with just 10men. Barley started slow and passed the ball around with ease but the 10men were happy to sit back and attack with plenty of pace and vigour on the break. Barley were frustrated and created little chances in the first half. Half hour into the game Sedgley on the break took a well deserved lead with there pacey right winger crossing to the far post to be finished off with a first class diving header.
Half Time 0-1.
Barley came out for the second period and knew that they had to step up the pace to overcome a stubborn Sedgley side. Barley exhausted every attacking option possible but lacked that vital finish, Rich P, Stez and substitute Jako all coming close. The best chance of the game undoubtedly fell to Matty who blazed over from 4yards. Barley saw virtually no attacking threat from Sedgley during the second half, but as time ran out Barley stretched there team more and more and finally Sedgley finished the game off with minutes to spare. A fantastic solo run from the Sedgley forward before rounding the keeper and finishing into an empty net.
