NUMBER  9

 Work progressing on this vehicle. Recent work includes replacement window panels on off side, rear window, internal and external  wheel arches offside, and panel above front windscreen and all lower front end panels. Future work will included refitting of windscreen and off side windows, front near side wheel arch and near side window panels. 

Work to be completed on interior of vehicle:- trim to be refitted and painted, flooring to replace, and begin to refit DP seats.

28/04/02 - Front Wheel Arch Panel Refitted

02/06/02 - Not alot to report at the moment a few smaller jobs sorted out.

09/06/02 - 2 windows refitted only another 4, back and windscreen to go. All panels now refitted to exterior and bumpers fitted. Interior - front of bus refitted and trimmed all panels above windows now trimmed.

04/07/02 - All windows fitted bar windscreen, and 1 seat in place, all luggage racks fitted, front interior painted to correct colours

14/03/03 - Most work now complete on this vehicle a few mechanical jobs for the MOT and the interior seats to finish.

15/03/03 - Completed a full refurbishment of the off side front brakes. Jobs outstanding nearside front brake, front pedestals to replace and the oil seals on the turbo and finish the repaint

23/03/03 - New seat that we thought would fit do not and require to much work to modify. The Cream Under coat has started to be applied to the top of the vehicle.

22/06/03 - Most work now complete on this vehicle. The lower paint work of vehicle has had coach paint applied but upper still in under coat.

17/08/03 - Parts for this vehicle have now been sourced and in the near future when workshop space becomes available part will be fitted and it is hope will be ready for MOT

11/12/06 - Sorry for the large gap. Not alot to report on this vehicle despite 3 year gap. Currently requires light sand and top coat of paint. Still requires approximately 7 seat frames and some re-flooring. Brakes need a good service and adjustment.

13/01/07 - This vehicle had become the group brew room for the time being until time allows for the restoration to be complete

NUMBER 16

 Under dry, secure storage no work planed at present. Resent new steering rack fitted. Currently in Mckindless, Wishaw Livery

14/03/03 - Work has been progressing on this vehicle all the skirts have been removed and various other job in preparation for re-panelling.

17/08/03 - The full rear end and pod have been removed from this vehicle. Work is progressing slowly but surely and as the small amount of manpower we have becomes available from other projects work is hoped to speed up slightly.

11/12/06 - Sadly this vehicle has left the fleet and been scrap at a Morecambe breakers yard.

NUMBER 20

No work at present unsure of future work to be carried out but will include repaint into Corporation livery. Oil and filter change and minor seals on engine. Currently in Lancashire United Livery

28/04/02 - Alot of work has gone into improving the general condition of this vehicle. Front dome has been filled and sanded and is now looking like new. Oil and filter changed and is now ready for MOT at Kendal possibly

02/06/02 - Move to our secure storage, passed MOT with flying colours

14/03/03 - Still in secure storage and nothing to report. Vehicle current off road.

17/08/03 - Vehicle currently been prepped for MOT some small jobs need to be completed will be back on the road soon.

11/12/06 - This vehicle has a habit of dropping its oil everywhere. It is now under new ownership and tiding up work has started ready for an MOT test.

13/01/07 - The new owner of this vehicle have removed the front dome.

NUMBER 23

Currently being sanded down ready for repaint into Corporation livery and work ready for MOT Certificate. Saloon heating to be looked at. Currently in Arriva Training livery

23/04/02 - Removed from workshop to allow 20 to be prepared for test.

06/06/02 - Alternator removed for repair. No other progress on this vehicle.

04/07/02 - No Progress to report

14/03/03 - New alternator fitted. Currently off road awaiting various jobs before MOT

17/08/03 - Pre MOT check carried out, quite a few jobs to be carried out on this vehicle will be a while before work is completed.

11/12/06 - Alot of work has been undertaken on this vehicle. Now has a full seat of blue seats except rear seat. Back end is slowly taking shape with new panels. Electrical problem has been traced to rear box and is next on the to do list.

13/01/07 - Front drivers side panal above the headlight has been removed and replaced with a new panel. Waiting for the drivers side windscreen corner and strip under windscreen to be fabricated.

NUMBER  99

Panel to replace including bonnet, grill etc. Repaint in to white livery and BBT branding. Interior to return to original seating arrangement including luggage rack and chassis to weld. Currently in White Livery with Green Strip

28/04/02 - No change.

09/06/02 - Battery removed charged and taken for test!

04/07/02 - No Progress to report

14.03.03 - Front end rebuilt. Requires welding and other little jobs before MOT.

17/08/03 - No Change

11/12/06 - No Change

13/01/07 - Vehicle has had its brakes bled and i new brake housing fitted to the front, awaiting a new servo unit before the bus can be moved closer to the group workshop

NUMBER 104

14/03/03 - Currently being stripped for repainting ready for Easter (ha ha ha ) Better start work 24/7 to finish it

23/03/03 - More scraping of paint and the bus is nearly ready for undercoat.

17/08/03 - Most lower areas undercoated, top still to prep and undercoat. Work seems to have come to a sudden halt on this vehicle but it will be ready for Easter !!!!

11/12/06 - Restoration complete. Seat frames to be sanded and repainted during the winter months

13/01/07 - Five seat frames have been stripped and sanded and are ready for painting.

NUMBER 105

14/03/03 - Came back to Barrow from Lincolnshire Road Car and is in secure storage.

17/08/03 - No change and no work planed as far as I know

11/12/06 - This bus has been through the wars broken into and crashed into the side of a warehouse, major work has been carried out on this vehicle but as yet not complete, rear end to be finished and brackets for wing mirrors to be installed then a complete repaint. Appears to have become a more modern store room then 147

 Engine to rebuild, body panels to refit and chassis to repair at rear. Work on all this is hopefully to start soon

No current Livery as panels removed

28/04/02 - No change of status, lack of volunteers if you want to help we are there most Sundays from 10.30 till about 13.00

04/07/02 - Working out where to start on this vehicle. Work will start in the near future

14/03/03 - Still no work carried out on this old girl starting to doubt whether anything will ever be done on it.

17/08/03 - Cleared junk off vehicle, to  much work to go into will cover on a separate page hopefully. Very long term project.

NUMBER 147

 No work being carried out at present but be stored undercover.

02/06/02 - Now moved over pit ready for work to be started

09/06/02 - Work has started on rubbing down and painting chassis

04/07/02 - Front chassis and wheels clean and red oxide paint.

14/03/03 - No work at present on this vehicle

17/08/03 - No Change has become a group store room at present.

 Underside and wheels painted ready for MOT

03/03//02 - Leaking core plug in the engine block and possible crack in block Vehicle is now off road

28/04/02 - Fuel pump removed revealing bloody great crack in block we await and George repair on this one.

09/06/02 - Engine crack filled for the time being. No idea if it is successful at present

04/07/02 - Nothing to report

14/03/03 - Been off the road since 03/03/02 requires new engine who know when this will be done ?

17/08/03 - No Change and no work planned

11/12/06 - Replacement engine has arrived and is currently being striped and cleaned ready for installation

13/01/07 - Appears work has stopped on the engine as no change since the last update

March Passed MOT With Flying Colours

02/06/02 - Problem with diesel in the oil it is hope to be sorted within a couple of weeks.

09/06/02 - Diesel problem sorted and vehicle back on road.

14/03/03 - MOT due soon no work required at present and roadworthy

23/03/03 - Pre MOT check carried out today nothing major to pass.

17/08/03 - No change and the old girl still on the road.

11/12/06 - Still on the road.
