Looking for that ultimate getaway site, well we just found one. This is one of the most peaceful, most friendly sites we have been to &
the views, well just spectacular. With hedges along two sides the site is completely private from the track and farmhouse, and its cut
grass, we were sold.
The farmer, Martin, came to see us to do the duties, only Ł5 per night! We got chatting and Martin explained that because the site is a
working farm, he had steaks, burgers, and beef sausages made from homebred cattle.
We had the most peaceful evening. doing nothing but reading & laying in the sun drinking beer listening to nothing but the birds & the
occasional calf being born.
On Sunday morning Martin brought us a s bag of steak; it must have been at least a kilo in weight. We sat talking & Martin was telling
us they could also do farm house breakfasts in the mornings & that Joby will soon start to do farmhouse ready meals. We asked if
people with kids came whether Martin would be able to show them around the farm, to let them see the cows being milked, to which
he would be more than willing, never know they might even see a calf being born!
Now back to the steak, we sat down to this meal fit for a king, a sip of wine then the steak & if I never taste another steak again, I
know I have had the best, it was melt in your mouth gorgeous, a perfect end to a perfect weekend.

I would like to take the opportunity to say "thank you" for your assistance
and caring attitude you both showed us during our stay this week. We both
had a really lovely time on our holiday and staying at your farm made a huge
difference for us. We will probably come back again next time, providing
you have the vacancies. Also I have told lots of people about your place
and how quiet it was, and how wonderful you both are.
