24-5 August 2008-------------------Stopover in Madras
After two days in train from Kokata to Chenai, Vicky (my new travelling companion) and I spent a night at the Broadlands Guest House in Chennai.

It is nice to travel with a friend and also I feel much more secure. We did not see much of this huge city but like New Delhi and Kolkatta it is polluted, extremely busy and noisy. From the hotel, we had time to have a short walk to the seafront. It was night, the current was strong and I only bathed my feet while Vicky observed me from the beach. The sea was warm and delicious!
