Dear Brothers of the Bath & District Province

It is likely that you, as a Brother or relative of a member of our Order, knows of someone in your family or circle of friends who is, or has, suffered from some form of cancer.

My appeal for 2011 is to raise as much money for this charity that operates across the country, having a local branch that covers Bath and District. Boots is in partnership with Macmillan.

The aims of Macmillan is as follows:Macmillan Cancer Support improves the lives of people affected by cancer. We provide practical, medical and financial support and push for better cancer care. Cancer affects us all. We can all help. We are Macmillan.

We've set ourselves an impressive ambition. Our primary goal is to reach and improve the lives of everyone living with cancer.

How the Bath & District Province can help:Let’s try and focus equally between what we do and contribute within our Order and extend our benevolence to underfunded charities that we, as individuals, may need and depend upon through the course of our lives.

We, as Lodges, could look towards having a special fundraising day for this PGP appeal and try as contribute as much as we can. Smaller Lodges may find this difficult but I am sure that every Lodge in this Province will try their best to support Macmillan Cancer Support!

Our Lodges always know best how to spend their money, no matter how large or small their “pot” is and with inflation heading high for 2011, those Lodges with large “pots” will find that those investments are shrinking (in real terms) so they may wish to divert that loss to the 2011 PGP Appeal!
