A Country Run - 19th October 1996
Owners of three preserved Burnley, Colne & Nelson J.T.C. vehicles got together on 19th October 1996 to run the vehicles around the old routes from nelson to Carr Hall, Wheatley Lane, Fence, Newchurch, Barley, Higham and Barden Lane, Burnley.
The vehicles were no.10, HG 9651, 1948 Leyland Tiger PS1/Brush B34R, no. 37, BHG 756, 1953 Leyland Tiger PS2/14/East Lancs. B39F, no.70, FHG 570E, 1967 Leyland Tiger Cub PSUC1/11/East Lancs B43F.
Driving 37, owned jointly by the BCN Preservation Group and John Forshaw, were Brian Nutter-Knight and Keith Baldwin. Driving no.10, were owner Roy Eckersall and John Locke. No. 70 was driven by owner Graham Wilkinson with conductor Ian Whittaker.
In attendance were well known bus photographers, David Beilby and John Robinson. John Robinson later produced a superb article for Buses magazine.
Firstly the buses assembled in the Queensgate bus depot and then headed for another photo shoot in Carr Road, Nelson.

From Barley we reversed the route back through Newchurch back to Barley via Noggarth Road, Ridge Lane, Happy Valley and Thorneyholme.

Outside Barden Mill, (now demolished), Volvo B10M 63 is returning to depot from a Mainline journey terminating at Higham.
