The BCN Society was conceived by the members of the BCN Preservation Group (now defunct) on August 26th 1993. It exists to bring together people with a common interest in the history of Burnley, Colne & Nelson Joint transport and its successors in particular and other public transport and related matters in general. All members receive quarterly the BCN Society Journal, with colour, containing articles, photos, details of forthcoming events and fleet news from Burnley & Pendle Travel with updates on the whereabouts of former BCN and Burnley & Pendle Transport vehicles.
