Is this bus the last surviving ex. B.C.N. PD2
Mark Hanson, whose father David is a retired BCN/B&P driver with 40 years service, has purchased 1950 Leyland PD2/1, ACW 645, original fleet number 63. He paid £12,000 on the internet auction site e-bay. Mark and his father flew down to Devon to drive the bus back to its new home in Padiham, a journey which took about seven hours, stopping and taking turns. Mark plans to renovate 63 and hopes to enlist the help of any former painters who worked for the former bus company. He then hopes to loan 63 to the Leyland Bus Museum as well as display it at classic bus shows.
The Burnley Express featured an article and photo in the Tuesday, February 15th edition.
Below a photo taken by Roy Cropper shortly after the bus arrived back in the area. The following photos were taken by Clifford Heap, another former BCN driver.

Finally a photo taken by Keith Baldwin at the BCN running day in September 1997. 63 is in pristine condition, then owned by John Willis.
