Cheques should be payable to BDRA and the trip title indicated on the reverse of the cheque. Departure points for all trips: - GG - Gooseberry Green, bus stop at roundabout, OA - Orchard Avenue, approaching Stock Road, LR - Laindon Road, bus stop between Sun corner and the fire station, SG - South Green, bus stop to Wickford, opposite the Retirement Apartments.
Please note - when concession prices (i.e. Seniors, Children etc) are quoted, these must be requested at the time of booking. Otherwise full price will be paid.
SATURDAY 19th April 2008 – LONDON SHOP & SEE
How often do we go to London to do some shopping or sightseeing only to have the day spoilt by parking problems or train delays! Here is an opportunity to do some shopping in Oxford Street, have lunch or visit some sights of London at your leisure with the convenience of being chauffeur driven with one of our luxury coaches. Having been dropped off at Oxford Street, you will have approximately 6 hours free time to use as you wish. Price for the Luxury coach – £10. Dep. GG 9.00am OA 9.05 am, LR 9.10 am, SG 9.15 am. Back in Billericay approx. 6pm.
SATURDAY 3rd MAY 2008 – WEALD OF KENT CRAFT FAIR at PENSHURST PLACE
This year the Weald of Kent Craft Show is being held in the grounds of Penshurst Place. The Craft Fair will include Special Features such as: Antiques Valuation Team; Show Garden; Tutored Wine Tasting; Specialist food Marquee; Young persons play ground; Mini workshops by resident experts; Up to 250 Exhibiting Craftsmen; and Rural Craft Demonstrations. Price including Combined Entrance to the Craft Fair, Penshurst Place, and the Gardens plus the Luxury coach (with toilet) – Adults - £19; Seniors - £18. Dep. GG 9.00 am, OA 9.05 am, LR 9.10 am, SG 9.15 am. Back in Billericay approx. 6pm.
FRIDAY 16th May 2008 – BRIGHTON plus ST MARY’S HOUSE & GARDEN with CREAM TEA
Opportunities to spend some time at Brighton’s sea front, to enjoy the beach atmosphere and perhaps have fish and chips for lunch; alternatively, you may want to walk the narrow shopping lanes and relax in one of Brighton’s many Bistros. After lunch we will go onto St Mary’s House at Bramber where will be given a guided tour of this fascinating 15th Century timber framed house. At the end of the tour we will relax with a Country House Tea (scone with butter, cream and strawberry jam; cake and a pot of tea). Following tea, we will be given a guided tour of the Gardens before we head off home to Billericay. All in all a full and exciting day. A chance to see Michael Ball as you’ve never seen him in the smash hit HAIRSPRAY at the Shaftsbury Theatre - a fantastic show at a fantastic price.
