Bus Service Changes

Half-hourly services from Billericay to Basildon via Outwood Common have been restored by First Buses. Last year the Association protested strongly when the service frequency was reduced to one bus an hour. By re-routing the 551 from Brentwood to Basildon via Outwood Common, First Buses have delivered a service which they shouldn’t have taken away in the first place.

NIBS have extended their hourly 222 Wickford-Billericay service to Queens Park, meaning that shoppers from Queens Park can still get to the town centre, and as a bonus, can go to Wickford if they want to. If you want to go to Basildon it’s just a 10 minute wait at Billericay Station for the 100 or the 551.

During the day, Mondays to Fridays, buses leave Billericay Station during each hour as follows:

00: 100 to Chelmsford
00: 222 to Wickford via South Green & Crays Hill
03: 551 to Brentwood via Hutton
11: 100 to Lakeside via Noak Bridge & Basildon
12: 551 to Basildon via Outwood Common & Laindon
20: 100 to Chelmsford
31: 100 to Lakeside via Noak Bridge & Basildon
33: 551 to Brentwood via Hutton
40: 100 to Chelmsford
42: 551 to Basildon via Outwood Common & Laindon
47: 222 to Queens Park
51: 100 to Lakeside via Noak Bridge & Basildon

Times in the High Street, opposite/outside “The Chequers” are 2 minutes before/after these times as appropriate.
