Our Fairtrade Town status must be renewed after 1 year; Billericay District Residents’ Association sposored a competition to design a Faitrade bag.

There were lots of entries – many had some interesting ideas and all the entries will be on display in St Mary Magdalen Church during Fairtrade Fortnight 23^rd February-9^th March. Thanks to all who entered and congratulations to the winners whose prizes will be presented on Saturday 7 March in St Mary Magdalen at 11am. A Fairtrade Morning will also be held in the church on the same day from 10am to 12.30pm. Helping us to judge the entries were Cllr Peter Bowditch, Chairman of Billericay Town Council and John Buchanan, Chairman of Billericay District Residents’ Association.
