Cheques should be payable to BDRA and the trip title indicated on the reverse of the cheque. Departure points for all trips: - GG - Gooseberry Green, bus stop at roundabout, OA - Orchard Avenue, approaching Stock Road, LR - Laindon Road, bus stop between Sun corner and the fire station, SG - South Green, bus stop to Wickford, opposite the Retirement Apartments.

Please note - when concession prices (i.e. Seniors, Children etc) are quoted, these must be requested at the time of booking. Otherwise full price will be paid.

SATURDAY 14th JULY 2007 - SMALLHYTHE PLACE & TENTERDEN VINEYARDS - PHONE A.S.A.P.

An opportunity to visit the historical theatre at Smallhythe Place. This half-timbered house, built in the early 16th century when Smallhythe was a thriving shipbuilding yard, was the home of the Victorian actress Ellen Terry from 1899 to 1928 and contains her fascinating theatre collection. The cottage grounds include her rose garden, orchard, nuttery, a wonderful display of wild flowers and the Barn Theatre.
Then on to the Vineyards at Tenterden for your inclusive buffet lunch (dessert optional extra). After lunch there will be tour of the Vineyards followed by wine tasting. There should be time  for some shopping in the Vineyard shops before we head home. TUESDAY 21st AUGUST 2007 – WINDSOR & CASTLE SEATS AVAILABLE

An opportunity to see the shops and sights of Windsor including its famous Castle. Windsor Castle is one of three official residences of The Queen and has been home to the Sovereign for over 900 years. The Castle is the largest inhabited castle in the world and the oldest in continuous occupation. The imposing towers and battlements of the Castle loom large from every approach to the town, creating one of the world's most spectacular skylines. No other royal residence has played such an important role in the nation's history. Price including Luxury coach (with toilet) and Castle Entrance – Adults £23.50; Seniors - £22. Dep. FRIDAY 31st AUGUST 2007 – GREENWICH & RIVER CRUISE FULL

We will travel to Greenwich Park where you will able to visit both the National Maritime Museum and the Observatory. There will also be time to visit the local indoor market. We will then enjoy the sights of the river as we take our one hour cruise to Westminster Pier where we will then board our coach for the return journey. Price including Luxury coach (with toilet) and river cruise – Adults £15; Seniors - £12. Dep. GG 9.15 am, OA 9.20 am, LR 9.25 am, and SG 9.30 am. Back in Billericay in the evening.

WEDNESDAY 19th SEPTEMBER 2007 – KENSINGTON PALACE 

Kensington Palace was the favourite residence of successive sovereigns until 1760. It was also the birthplace and childhood home of Queen Victoria. Today Kensington Palace accommodates the offices and private apartments of a number of members of the Royal Family. At the time of our trip, we will be able to enjoy the Diana Princess of Wales Exhibition - this beautiful exhibition unites an exquisite collection of evening dresses with a series of photographs of the Princess of Wales, taken by Mario Testino. The tour of the Palace will be from 11.30 to 1.30, after which you will have time to relax in Kensington Gardens, to enjoy a light bite in the Orangery, or to stroll further a field to Hyde Park and the Serpentine. Once again we have booked the Classical Spectacular at the Royal Albert Hall. A firm favourite with the Billericay Residents. We highly recommend this opportunity to enjoy a fantastic night with all the popular classical tunes. Please book early to avoid disappointment.
