Focus on Billericay Library's Summer Events and Activities

Record Breakers Summer Reading Challenge 2015, 11th July – 5th September

Children will discover wonderful and wacky records from around the world in Billericay library this summer. By reading or sharing books children will earn stickers and if they complete the challenge they will receive a certificate and a Record Breakers medal. Children aged 2 and under can join Record Breakers alongside their older brothers and sisters this summer. They will receive a special Record Breakers early years folder and will earn stickers by sharing books with their families or carers and a certificate and spinner for their bedroom for completing the challenge. Children aged 10 and over can also take part in fantastic creative reading activities by joining “ImagiNation: Awesome Art and Refreshing Reads” – new for 2015. Interested in Family History?

Who do you think you are?  Would you like to know about your past relatives? Find hidden skeletons, know who to blame for your curly hair, or just research your family history, but don’t know the best way to start or where to look?
 Billericay Library invites you along to meet David Reynolds, an East London Historian who has plenty of experience and successes with Family History Research.  He will be sharing some of his vast knowledge, and answering any questions.
One to one sessions are free and held at Billericay Library once a month, between 9.30am and 12.30pm, For further details phone 01277 624624, speak to a member of staff and a place will be reserved for you.

Need Help Using Computers?
 Are you baffled or bewildered by IT? Billericay Library invites you along to one of our regular  Tuesday ‘help’ sessions held between 10.30 and 12.00 noon, when help or advice is available, FREE OF CHARGE.
Whether you would like assistance with a specific problem, or you need help with your CV.  Please contact the library on 01277 624624 to arrange an appointment.
If, however you are after something more structured and regular, why not sign up for LearnMyWay, a basic computer course which is held each week. This will teach you how to use a mouse, keyboard, email and the internet.  This is also completely FREE OF CHARGE.
