Sharp-eyed visitors to Lake Meadows will be able to spot that some of the trees in the park are now sporting some very natty ‘tree labels’ to identify them. Once our Information Hut is up and running maps will be available showing our painstakingly, researched tree trail. Not only will you be able to learn about the unusual and unexpected mix of trees housed within Lake Meadows, but you will also enjoy a beautiful yet structured walk around the park.
We are busily preparing for our annual Jazz in the Park event so make sure you are in the mood for some great music on Saturday 18th July from 4.30pm.
We do hope you have been wowed by the completed wizard and Dragon. The finished carvings are truly marvellous and should really encourage lots of children to fire up their imaginations as to the adventures these great characters might have. Our completed storybook with its fabulous illustrations should also delight youngsters and will be on sale from our hut.
There are lots of opportunities for anyone that could spare an hour or two to help the gardening group on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month from 9.30am and anybody wishing to contact us about this and any other matters can check out our website:
www.lakemeadows.org.uk or contact us at secretary@lakemeadows.org.uk or via the FoLM hotline 07843 860135.
