Annual General Meeting. Following the AGM Julian Whybra will demonstrate and talk about the ancient art of Morris dancing.

Choir for All Seasons

 SATURDAY 24 MARCH at 8pm in the Emmanuel Church, Laindon Road, Billericay.

“Especially for You” (an evening of musical dedications) sung for you by The Choir For All Seasons. Each intriguing piece in the programme has been written for a special purpose, not simply to improve the composer’s bank balance! You will hear music for a coronation, for a couple’s silver wedding, as an engagement present to a fiancé, for the inventor of the metronome, for the opening of a funicular railway and a dedication to the patron saint of music herself – St Cecilia plus more besides.
Tickets £6.00 (£5.00 concessionary) are available in advance from Emmanuel Church office (Tel 632120 Monday to Friday 9am to 12 noon) Presence in the High Street, Billericay, from choir members or at the door on the night.

Billericay Choral Society

SATURDAY 31MARCH Billericay Choral Society will be performing a concert of English music. After the success of our French evening last year, it was decided to feature some songs and composers from our own country. Many of these will be old favourites and who knows; perhaps you'll even feel like joining in!

The concert will be held at 7.45pm in the United Reformed Church in Chapel Street. Tickets are priced at £8 (£7 concessions) and are available from Storyteller Bookshop, members of the choir , or ring Patricia on 01277 653338.

Quiz Night

SATURDAY 24 MARCH at 7.30pm in the Mayflower Hall a Quiz Night in aid of Basildon Hospital Association for Renal Patients. Tickets are £3 each and are available from Doreen Potter 01277 624255

Norsey Wood Society

KINGDOM COME: THE LIFE OF CHRIST

WEDNESDAY 28 MARCH at 8pm (doors open 7.30pm) in Christ Church, Perry Street, Billericay. KINGDOM COME: THE LIFE OF CHRIST performed by Eric Petrossian. Combining all four gospels and using the NIV translation of the bible word for word, one actor brings to life and plays over 30 different characters
