Events at the Fold
Saturday 7 March at 7.30pm “Classics at the Fold” Another opportunity to enjoy the astounding talents of young people from the Royal College of Music. On this occasion the Zimri Piano Trio – Laurine Rochut (Violin), William Imbert (Cello) and Guy Davis (Piano) will enthral us with a varied programme which will include works by Faure, Hadyn and Schubert. Tickets £9.
Saturday 21 March at 7.30pm “Hoagy, Hornpipes, Handel and Hoedown. A witty and captivating mix of blues, folk, swing and classical showstoppers, spiced with a unique brand of off-beat humour and the gorgeous voice of Hillary James. Simon Mayor began as a guitarist and fiddler and is now one of the world’s foremost mandolinists; whilst Hilary is not only famed for her singing but her penchant for bass instruments including her giant mandobass. Tickets £9.
Saturday 4 April at 7.30pm. Monique “France and Beyond”. Another chance to enjoy the singing of Monique for an evening of sophisticated music and fun, accompanied by Nigel on piano. There will be a mixture of songs in French, English and Corsican, some well known and some their own compositions. As usual there will be a café layout so tickets are limited. Tickets £9. Bring your own drinks and nibbles.

Billericay United Reformed Church
The church is holding a Charities Table Sale on Saturday 28 March from
9.30am to 12 noon at the Mayflower Hall, Chapel Street, Billericay. All
money raised will be for local and national charities. Items for sale will
include cakes, jams, handicrafts, toiletries, jewellery, books, bric-a-brac
and greetings cards. Refreshments will be available. All are welcome. Your
support would be appreciated.
Hutton & Shenfield Choral Society
On
Saturday 28th March 2009 at 7pm in the Chelmsford Cathedral the Choral
Society will be singing St Mathew Passion by Bach. Tickets in the central
block of the cathedral will cost £15, there will be no concessions. All
other seats cost £13, senior citizens £12 and students and children £5.

Baby’s Needs
Is your baby tired or hungry? Would he like some more? Does she have a
dirty nappy? It is sometimes so hard to know before they can speak.
Billericay Babysign run regular 6-weekly courses for children from 0 to
pre-school age, based on teaching some basic British Sign Language signs
using nursery rhymes and other songs to help you answer some of these
questions. People usually work in small groups of between 8 and 10 with the
emphasis being on fun learning. There is time for tea and a chat during the

Billericay Choral Society presents The Creation by
Haydn
Saturday 28th March 2009 at 7.45pm in the United Reformed Church, Chapel

This oratorio expresses Haydn's vision of the creation, as told in the Bible
and John Milton's poem Paradise Lost. The Creation is considered Joseph
