Planning Application No 06/00176/FULL 10 Church Street seeks permission to replace existing bungalow with two 4-bed semi-detached chalets. The committee had no objections to this application.

Planning Application06/00263/FULL 2 Hillside Close seeks permission to erect a 2 storey side and rear extention, new front porch and detached garage at the rear. The committee objected to the part of this application relating to the 2-storey side extention on the grounds thatbecause of the proximity of the existing flank wall to Hillside Road the proposed side extention will project beyond the building line of neighbouring properties. This will give an over dominant appearance and have a crowding effect on the street scene.

Planning Application 06/00237/OUT Oakdin Surgery, 58 Laindon Road seeks permission to demolish the doctor’s surgery and construct ten 2-bed flats and new surgery. The committee objected to this application on the grounds that it is considered an over development on a constricted site. It would spoil the open aspect of this part of Laindon Road which is part of a conservation area. Concern was expressed regarding the provision of car parking and vehicular access already a problem following changes to the Quilters complex.

Planning Application 06/00030/FULL Land adajcent to 110 Kennel Lane – erection of 3 bed detached houses. Permission granted. BDRA objected on the grounds of over development.

Planning Application 06/00038/FULL 14 Shakespeare Avenue – replace bungalow with 4-bed detached chalet. Permission granted. BDRA did not object.

Planning Application 06/00089/OUT 104 t0 108 Stock Road – replace pair of semis with 3 detached dwellings. Permission granted. BDRA objected on the grounds of over dominance and restricted access.

Planning Application 06/00096/FULL Land adjacent to 1 Fairview – erect 3-bed detached dwelling. Permission refused. BDRA objected on the grounds of adverse effect on street scene and traffic hazard close to roundabout at Southend Road, Chapel Street and Sun Street.
