APOLOGIES to all those who booked for the Mayflower High School PTFA Murder Mystery Evening. This had to be cancelled at the last minute due to circumstances beyond our control. The event will now take place on Saturday 23rd September - please make a note in your diaries!

 

 

SATURDAY 13 MAY at 7.30pm. JAZZ at the FOLD. “GRAPPELLI – A CELEBRATION”. Accompanied by guitar and double bass, jazz violinist MIKE PIGGOTT plays tribute to the greatest – Stephane Grappelli. Includes the music of Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Fats Waller, Duke Ellington and Django Reinhardt. Mike gives an entertaining account of the maestro’s life from the Quintet of the Hot Club of France to his later work with Shearing and Menuhin. Tickets £8.00.

 

SATURDAY 3 JUNE at 7.30pm. “CAN’T HELP SINGING” sees the return of PAULINE CURTIS (Mezzo Soprano) accompanied by MARTYN HEALD (piano) with a varied programme of much loved songs from Classical through to Gospel and Musical Theatre through to Grand Opera. Something for everyone. Tickets £6.00.
