FRIDAY 16^th June – SMALLHYTHE PLACE & TENTERDEN VINEYARDS. SEATS AVAILABLE.

An opportunity to visit the historical theatre at Smallhythe Place. This half-timbered house, built in the early 16th century when Smallhythe was a thriving shipbuilding yard, was the home of the Victorian actress Ellen Terry from 1899 to 1928 and contains her fascinating theatre collection. The cottage grounds include her rose garden, orchard, nuttery, a wonderful display of wild flowers and the Barn Theatre. Then on to the Vineyards at Tenterden for your inclusive buffet lunch (dessert optional extra). After lunch there will be a tour of the vineyards followed by wine tasting. SATURDAY 8^th JULY 2006 – THIS IS ELVIS at the CLIFFS PAVILION

“It is 1968, the major musical event of the year is the first live TV special for Elvis Presley in what will come to be known as ‘The ’68 Comeback Special’ ”. “This Is Elvis” recreates all the drama leading up to the comeback as well as staging the monumental concert itself including Heartbreak Hotel, Blue Suede Shoes, Love me Tender etc etc. Staring Simon Bowman, this should be a fun night for all. To wander by the lake and the ornamental pond, to visit the glass houses and to wander amongst the flower beds so lovingly maintained by some of the best gardeners in the country. Then to leisurely enjoy Wisley’s own Afternoon Tea in the Terrace Restaurant.
