An opportunity to visit the historical theatre at Smallhythe Place. This half-timbered house, built in the early 16th century when Smallhythe was a thriving shipbuilding yard, was the home of the Victorian actress Ellen Terry from 1899 to 1928 and contains her fascinating theatre collection. The cottage grounds include her rose garden, orchard, nuttery, a wonderful display of wild flowers and the Barn Theatre. Then on to the Vineyards at Tenterden for your inclusive buffet lunch (dessert optional extra). After lunch there will be a tour of the vineyards followed by wine tasting. musical event of the year is the first live TV special for Elvis
Presley in what will come to be known as The 68 Comeback
Special . This Is Elvis recreates all the
drama leading up to the comeback as well as staging the monumental
concert itself including Heartbreak Hotel, Blue Suede Shoes, Love me
Tender etc etc. Staring Simon Bowman, this should be a fun night for
