Letter to the Editor
Dear Trevor
The Resident is
indeed much improved by being full colour on 12 pages of glossy paper. What I
did enjoy seeing was the aerial view of Kitt’s Corner and I do hope you publish
more shots like this. I’m guessing this photograph was taken in the summer of
2000 though I wonder if others can pin-point the date more accurately.
Unfortunately Google earth still has Billericay as a blurry smudge.
Kind regards
Tom Hardwick.
Tom is quite
correct in assuming the photograph was taken in the summer 2000, unfortunately
I can not give the exact date, probably around August. It is one of a series of
aerial photographs of Billericay which were included in the highly successful
calendar, produced and sold by the Association, for the year 2001. I have
frequently been asked if I know where photographs of Billericay can be
obtained; it would appear that they are unavailable. Consequently it is
intended that each future issue of the Resident will feature one of these
photographs on the front page and if there appears to be a demand, though how
we can tell is not quite clear at the moment, we will produce and sell copies
either singly or in packs. Perhaps if you are interested you could let me know
and the Association will then determine if it is a viable proposition.
