Arthritis Care
The Billericay branch meets on the 2nd Friday of each month in the Day
Centre, Chantry Way at 7.30pm for a relaxed and informal evening. Entry £1
includes talk, raffle & refreshments. A warm welcome is assured. The next
meeting is on Friday 12th June when the subject of the talk will be “More
Music Hall”. On Friday 10th July the subject will be “Where There's a Will
There's a Relative” On Saturday 30 May from 9.15am to 12.30pm in The Reading
Rooms, High Street, Billericay Arthritis Care will be holding a “Spring
Fayre” with tombola, raffle and a selection of sales tables. Come along,
have a coffee and help raise funds for the club.
Spring
The Cantabile Singers invite you to their next concert “Spring, Spring,
Spring” at The Mayflower Hall, Chapel Street, Billericay on Saturday 16 May
at 8pm. This light-hearted concert will include such melodies as Younger
Than Springtime, All the Things You Are, Dance to Your Daddy and the story
of Captain Noah and his Floating Zoo by Michael Flanders and Joseph Horovitz.
Tickets £5 from members of the choir or at the door, includes refreshments.

Design Statement Association will hold its second Annual General Meeting on
19 May 2009

The existing Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Treasurer, and Secretary being
eligible for re-election are willing to stand. Nominations for alternative
candidates must be received by the Secretary not less than seven days
before the Annual General Meeting.
5 Composition of Steering Group
No new members have been elected to serve on the Steering Group since
the 2008 Annual General Meeting of the Association. However, the Steering
Group is seeking an additional member to enhance representation for
residents of Great Burstead & South Green. Nominations are invited, to be
received by the Secretary seven days before the Annual General Meeting.

Sounding Brass
and Angelic Voices
On
Saturday 16 May at 7.30pm in the Emmanuel Church, Laindon Road, Billericay
Harmony Brass and Buttsbury School Choir will be performing numbers both
individually and jointly to provide the audience with a night to remember.
Brian and Beryl Ford have been involved with Billericay’s music scene for
over 25 years and for the first time will be pooling their resources in
their home town, when they will be directing their respective music groups
at a major concert to raise funds for the Motor Neurone Disease
Association. Brian is Musical Director of the brass ensemble “Harmony
Brass”, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary and Beryl
directs the Buttsbury School Choir.
