Community Matters
Thank you to Waitrose and everyone who helped by putting their green discs in the FoLM box. We were delighted to receive a cheque for 343 from the Waitrose Community Matters Fund.
Our secretary Rosie Novis was presented with the cheque by Stella Thomas from our local Waitrose store. Mrs Thomas is the organiser of the monthly scheme. We are in careful discussions about how best to spend this welcome gift.

Garden of the Child
The work that has been carried out on the Garden of the Child is now nearing completion but the garden will remain closed to the public for a while so that the new plants are given time to establish. We hope that people will be understanding during this time. An official reopening will take place on 20th May and we hope that visitors to the park after this date will really enjoy the new layout.

Photography Competition
Our photography competition is now in full swing. The closing date is 30th August and entries can be taken from a camera or a mobile phone. You don’t need to be an expert – we are looking for an image that shows your enjoyment and appreciation of the park!
The FoLM Information Centre will be open on Monday mornings and some weeks on a Thursday or Friday morning too. The latest edition of ‘Wizard, Dragon and her lost eggs’ is on sale, along with free tree maps and dragon popcorn!
