There will be stalls, games and refreshments, as well as a visit from Captain Hook. The stalls will include cakes, jams, handicraft, Traidcraft, Palestinian crafts, books, CDs, video, bric-a-brac, tombola and Christmas cards. All welcome. Please come along.

BILLERICAY CHORAL SOCIETY -  NEW SEASON

On Saturday 25th November, at 7.45pm in the United Reformed Church, Chapel Street, Billericay Choral Society will be celebrating the 250th anniversary of the birth of Mozart. The first half of the concert will consist of some items from a string quartet and the choir, including the beautiful Laudate from the Solemn Vespers, the Voyagers Chorus from Idomineo and the haunting Ave Verum. After the interval the choir will sing Mozart’s magnificent Requiem. Tickets are priced at £8 and £7 concessions. On 15th December at 7.45pm in the Link in Queen’s Park Avenue, an evening of carols old and new, with an opportunity to join in if you wish. All tickets will be £5 to include coffee and mince pies. Both concerts will be conducted by Ian Walker.

SUNDAY 3 DECEMBER at 4.00pm in United Reform Church, Chapel Street the Choir For All Seasons presents its Christmas concert “FOREVER CHRISTMAS”.  The programme reflects how the season has been celebrated in music, both sacred and secular, down the centuries from plainchant and feasting songs to the music of John Rutter and “White Christmas”. Children of Herington House School Songsters from Shenfield will be guests in the concert. Enjoy a mixed programme of old favourites and some delicious new surprises from this highly regarded local choir.
