The Footbridge

Once again the refurbishment of this footbridge is being considered. A spokesman for Essex County Council said that it was planned to have the work completed by autumn next year. Discussions are being held with the railway authority to determine a mutually convenient time for the council to take possession of the line so that the removal and replacement of the bridge can be done in safety.

Help wanted

The work of the Association is done by volunteers and we are fortunate to have a dedicated group of people who deliver The Resident each month. However some of our volunteers have served us for a many years but there comes a time when they need a change, or a rest, or both and seek pastures new; as a consequence the Association needs new volunteers.
We are seeking an Area Rep to deliver 10 bundles of the newsletter to houses in Mountnessing Road, Belle Vue Road, Burntwood Close, The Avenue,
Station Road, Rosslyn Road, Summerdale, Tanfield Drive and Kenilworth Close, 10 times a year. If you can help please ring Trevor Stansfield on 01277 623519.
We also require an Area Rep to deliver 22 bundles of the newsletter to houses in the Burstead area, 10 times a year. If you can help please ring 01277 656751.
Road Reps deliver a single copy of The Resident to members of the association every month except January and August and we require someone to take the newsletter to 36 houses Second Avenue. If you can help please ring 01277 656751

Another Road Rep is required to deliver the newsletter to 36 houses in Potash Road. Interested people should ring Julia Nairn on 01277 631829.
