In 1972 over 1.8 million people went to see Tutankhamun’s treasures when the exhibition visited London. It was the most successful exhibition in the capital's history. Now, after more than 30 years, this stunning and mysterious exhibit is returning to the UK for a limited period and will only be at The O2. There will be time to eat before visiting the exhibition. WEDNESDAY 19th MARCH 2008 – THE FIRST EMPEROR: CHINA’s TERRACOTTA ARMY at the BRITISH MUSEUM
The First Emperor: China’s Terracotta Army explores one of the greatest archaeological discoveries of the twentieth century, giving an insight into China’s First Emperor, Qin Shihangdi, and his legacy. The exhibition includes a number of the world-famous terracotta warriors from Xi’an, China, which were buried alongside the First Emperor in readiness for the afterlife, as well as some of the most striking recent discoveries made on the site.
