            At its meeting on Tuesday 13 October 2009 the Town Council considered the following     planning applications

            Application No 09/00721/FULL
            The Ivory Rooms, Laindon Road. Variation of condition 4 of 05/00121/FULL to allow the   restaurant/bar to open from 9.00am to 1.30am.  The Town Council objected to this application  on the grounds of a potential increase in noise and disturbance in a residential area

            Application No             09/00794/FULL
            Friends Meeting House, Southend Road. Demolition of existing cottage and garage and   construction of new detached 2-storey house with rooms in roof and detached garage. The Town Council had no objections to this application.


            Application No             09/00802/FULL –                                           
            Raise ridge to accommodate conversion of chalet-style bungalow to house at  1 St.Mary’s Avenue
            The Town Council objected to this application on the grounds of:-

Damage to residential amenity due to (i) over-dominance and
(ii) over-looking properties in Western Road
Damage to visual amenity due to (i) awkward design and
(ii) excessive bulk and height

Out of keeping with the street scene
Loss of 2 parking spaces because of conversion of garage to games room
            Over-dominance

            Application No 09/00886/TPOBAS –                                                 
            Crown reduce T17 (Oak) of TPO/6/73 by 25% & raise crown to 5 metres at  5 Sadlers Close.
            The Town Council had no objection to this application.
