LETTERS to the EDITOR

Mr. S.

Once again the "RESIDENT" comes out with the wrong content -

Try these for example:-

1) Why not publish some support for the residents living near the "IVORY ROOMS" whose lives are being blighted by the constant disturbances.
2) Surely the "RESIDENT" can let the people of Billericay know what is happening to the empty    units in the High Street.
3) Who is taking over the ground floor of the office block next to the Police Station?
4) Who is going into the old Storyteller shop?
5) Any news on Goodspeeds request for a restaurant?
6) Oh and what about the stream of broken windows recently - Superdrug etc.

It would appear that these items are not worthy of publishing in your comic - not everyone buys the "EVENING ECHO" or the "GAZETTE"  How can you leave all these items of local interest out for some stupid "unfunny funnies" - don't count on my subscription next time.

Disgruntled Resident again!!!!!! voicing an opinion against a "FAILED EDITOR".

Does this mean that our anonymous correspondent disagrees with all the content of The Resident?

Dear Editor

LAKE MEADOWS

I wonder how many of the Billericay Residents have not visited Lake Meadows for several years. They don't know what they are missing. I am amazed what a thriving place it has become. The gardens, lake walks, new trees, open areas, sports facilities and children's areas are incredibly well maintained and the Park is a joy to behold. Am I imagining it or is it a different place from, say, 10 years ago? The café is buzzing, children are enjoying the amenities and new play equipment. All-in-all it is super place for a stroll. Pity I had to write this as the seasons are on the turn!

May I make one point. Your tree maps are unreadable and as the actual trees bear no labels, for me, the tree planting project is losing some of it's impact.

John Darwent.

A full page map of Lake Meadows was printed on page 11 of the February 2008 issue of The Resident when readers were asked to keep the map because information about the trees would be given in future editions of the newsletter.
