Here at Friends of Lake Meadows the new Committee is beginning to plan the next year’s events. We will be kicking off with Carols in the Park on Saturday 12th December from 4.30 pm. Please do join us near the boathouse for festive singing and free refreshments.
In the New Year we will be carrying out another survey to find out what enhancements park visitors might like to see but if you have any ideas in the meantime don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
The worthy winner of our photography competition was Martin French with ‘Fountain Play for Gulls’ whilst the junior winner was Amelia Ridgewell with ‘Vertical Trees’.
Thanks to all our entrants and we hope some of you were able to catch our exhibition of finalists in the library.
Our gardening group and Saturday working parties have been busy tidying the park now autumn is here. Over 600 winter pansies arrived recently and were duly planted. We will continue to run these groups during the winter months and anyone who can spare an hour or two is very welcome.
