Coach Trips

Please note that all payments should be made as soon as possible and sent to the person named on the trip advertisement. Cheques should be made payable to BDRA and the trip title shown on the back of the cheque. Departure points for all trips: GG - Gooseberry Green, bus stop at roundabout, OA – Orchard Avenue, approaching Stock Road, LR – Laindon Road, bus stop between Sun Corner and the fire station, SG – South Green, bus stop to Wickford, opposite the retirement apartments.
Please note – When a trip is confirmed the fare must be paid as soon as possible. If concession prices are quoted (ie seniors, children) these should be requested at the time of booking or the full price will apply. In the event that you need to cancel all efforts will be made to resell your seats, however if we are unable to resell your seats you are liable for payment.

SUNDAY NOVEMBER 29TH – VICTORIAN FESTIVAL OF CHRISTMAS AT PORTSMOUTH DOCKYARD

This is the largest Xmas market on the south coast where you can browse for unique gifts, festive food and much more.
Wander the snow covered Dickensian streets, see a traditional Father Xmas dressed in green and a wonderland of Victorian characters and entertainment.
Visit the Mary Rose Museum, HMS Victory, HMS Warrior, HMS Monitory M33 (this is a new addition to the dockyard) The National Museum of the Royal Navy, Action Stations, Xmas Market and weather permitting a 45 minute harbour cruise all included in the ticket price.
If that's not enough you can visit the shopping outlet nearby for some retail therapy.

SATURDAY 5TH DECEMBER 2015 – A TRIP TO LONDON

Join us for a day trip to London. You have a free day to sight see, visit one of the many museums/galleries, see the Christmas lights or do some Christmas shopping.
Alternatively visit Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park where you can take a leisurely stroll around the Christmas Market which gives you plenty of choice across more than 200 fairy lit Bavarian style wooden chalets.
For the more adventurous tickets can be purchased online for all the other attractions associated with Winter Wonderland.

SUNDAY 28th FEBRUARY 2016 - ILLEGAL LONDON - SECRETS OF SCOTLAND YARD & THE BLACK MUSEUM WITH BLUE BADGE GUIDE

We meet our guide and start with morning coffee and biscuits. We set out on foot across The Mall to the National Police Memorial then across Whitehall to see the original site of Old Scotland Yard which is being transformed into a hotel with rooms costing 10,000 a night.
We are told about the history of crime and punishment in London. We return to Trafalgar Square and break for lunch. The afternoon is devoted to an exhibition of objects never seen before from the Scotland Yard Black Museum from some of the UK's most notorious crimes and criminals including The Diamond Heist, Dr Crippen, The Krays brief case, the Great Train Robbery, the shoe bomber's trainer and many more.

This trip involves 3x400 metres of easy walking with plenty of opportunities for stops.
