All of the work carried out by FoLM is on a voluntary basis and we were thrilled to be a nominee at Basildon Council’s Volunteer Awards. Whilst we did not win our category, we did merit a special mention and it was good to be part of this fantastic event.

The winners of our popular Photography Competition this year are Sean Muldoon with ‘Cover’ in the adult category and Freya Donaldson with ‘Serenity’ as our junior winner. Thanks to all those that took part and also to Billericay Round Table, Billericay and Billericay Mayflower Rotary Clubs and Billericay Lions for their generous sponsorship of this competition.
The Friends of Lake Meadows have been chosen to receive funding from the Co-op Local Community Fund. We shall receive a significant contribution towards our project to refurbish the lake, encourage wildlife and provide information.

But we need your help! We’d like you to get involved! The more support we get, the more funding we could receive. So if you’re a Co-op Member log into your Co-op Membership account and choose FoLM as your cause. If you’re not yet a member, please join and support us! You will receive discounts on all Co-op branded products – 5% to you and 1% to us!

To become a Co-op Member apply at the Queen’s Park store or Co-op funeral home in the High Street or go to:
