We have wonderful news! The Statue of the Child has been returned to the Garden of the Child. It has been repaired, reinstalled with tougher fixings and is protected by SmartWater, a forensic traceable liquid, which is a powerful and sustainable criminal deterrent, which can directly link thieves with a particular crime scene and works by heightening the criminal’s fear of arrest and conviction. We very much hope that it will continue to delight children and adults for many years to come.

It is once again approaching that magical time of year when we extend a warm invitation to all to come along to Carols in the Park. This years’ event will take place from 4pm on Saturday 16th December by the boathouse in Lake Meadows. Join us for complimentary mulled wine, squash and nibbles and sing some well-loved carols. Remember to wrap up warmly and bring a torch!

Photographs that made it to the final selection in our Photographic Competition will be on display in the library until 21st November. As this article goes to press the judges are still making their final decisions regarding the winners of each category.
