Saturday 10 November from 9.30am to 5.30pm in The Reading Rooms, High Street, Billericay Gene Turner is holding an “Art Sale” in aid of the “Remus Horse Sanctuary”. There will be a raffle entrance, stalls of china plate painting and trinket boxes, original artwork, exclusive framed and mounted prints, hand painted cards and two stalls of Remus’s own goods suitable for Christmas presents. Billericay Cards for Good Causes
A multi-charity Christmas
card shop selling Christmas cards from more than 25 national and local
charities will be opening on Wednesday 24 October at the Billericay Library.
Billericay Charity Christmas card shop is one of a national network of
shops. Last year the charities received more than £5 million from Cards for
Good Causes for their Christmas card sales. Because Cards for Good Causes
keeps its operating costs to an absolute minimum, charities received at
least 81p in every £1 from their card sales out of which they have to pay
for the production and distribution of their cards and any applicable VAT.
The shop, staffed by local volunteers, is open Mondays to Saturdays from
10am to 4pm and 10am to 1pm on Thursdays.
