At its meeting on Tuesday 1 September 2009 the Town Council considered the following planing applications:
Application Number: 09/00717/FULL Demolish existing building and construct mixed use development comprising ground floor A1-A5 or B1 use with 2 self contained flats on first floor and 1 self contained flat on second floor at 3 High Street, Billericay (formerly Twolyn HIre). The Town Council objected to this application on the grounds of:
Over – development of the site.
Habitable rooms too close to boundaries
Damage to visual amenity due to excessive bulk and out of keeping with the street scene
Inadequate amenity land
Object to all use classes except A1 at ground floor level.

Application Number 09/00720/Full  Removal of condition 19 of planning permission at land rear of 70-84 Norsey Road. Application number 09/00121/Full relation to visibility splays. The Town Council objected to the removal of condition 19 as this covers the access road to the site whereas condition 16 refers to Norsey Road.

Application number 09/00740/FULL. Single storey rear extension at 32 Potash Road, Billericay. The Town Council had no objection to this application.

Application Number 09/00743/FULL. Demolition of existing bungalow and construction of 5 bedroom dwelling house at 28 West Park Avenue, Billericay. The Town Council had no objection to this application.

Application Number 09/00745/TPOBAS. Fell one Pine and grind stumps of 5 previously felled trees at 8 Portman Drive, Billericay. The Town Council had no objection to this application.
Application Number 09/00747/FULL. Demoltion of existing bungalow and garage and erection of a 5 bedroom detached dwelling with detached garage at 102 Norsey Road, Billericay. The Town Council objected to this application on the grounds of:

                        Damage to visual amenity due to excessive height and excessive bulk
                        Dormers in pitch of two storey house.
This property is closer to the highway than other similar developments in the road.
