Dear
Trevor
What a
poor choice of pictures of Billericay High Street on the front cover of the
September Resident magazine.
1.
Ravens Bakery picture was taken a long time ago with a boarded up window and a
"To Let" sign in the shop next door - today this is The Emporium and
this shop always has a vibrant window display.
2.
The picture to the right of Ravens Bakery is again a very old picture.
The smaller building has been refurbished and now has troughs and very smart
railings to the front.
3.
The picture with Hamelin Trust is again a poor choice taken when the shutters
were down on Bellefontaines jewellers which make it look as though
Bellefontaines is closed for good.
These
pictures do not show our High Street at its best - what a shame as I would imagine
that a number of copies of this issue of The Resident will be sent to an
official in Fishers USA, our twin town, because of the letter by Fishers
students on the front page.
Mr.
Sidney Cheshire
