We would like to thank EVERYONE connected with putting on our dog show, Bark in the Park, which was held on 16th September. A wide variety of dog breeds stepped out in the ring from the littlest Pip to the largest, aptly named, Tiny! The winner of the Dog of the Day trophy was Mowgli the 19-week-old, Greater Swiss Mountain Dog. This much-loved family dog and his whole family charmed our marvellous judges and scooped the top spot.

The whole event was enjoyed (apart from a brief but heavy rain shower) by very well-behaved canines and their enthusiastic owners. Dogs also battled it out to win a trophy in a scurry competition. The winner of the small dog category was Indigo Blu, with Tiana winning the large dog category.
We had fairground rides for the children and stalls providing both goodies and information about pets. Parkgoers were treated to two fantastic dog shows by Conquest - K9 Display team.
It was particularly great to see so many children attending the event and handling their furry friends in the ring. This event has always been about showing off the partnerships made between dogs and their human families and encouraging responsible dog ownership.
Although the Flower Meadow was sown later this year, due to last years’ infestation of redshank weed, it is now in full bloom and providing some well needed colour as we fly at top speed into Autumn, so please enjoy walking through it whilst it lasts.
