John Baron MP visits Dizzy Ducks at Mayflower School

On Friday 4 November John Baron MP visited Dizzy Ducks nursery at Mayflower School, Billericay. He was shown round the nursery, which had only just opened, by Sian Nesbitt, the director of Dizzy Ducks Day Nurseries and took part in one or two classes where he discussed progress with members of the team.

Because of a potential funding glitch within Essex County Council there was a time when it looked as though the nursery would not be built. However after John had discussed the issue with the Council they honoured their commitment and provided the promised funding. He congratulated the nursery on its opening and praised the team on its success.

Dizzy Ducks is committed to supporting local charities that have touched the lives of their families. On Monday 7 November the nursery visited the Neonatal Ward at Basildon Hospital to donate £1500 they had raised at a summer BBQ. This was a special occasion since a member of the staff at Dizzy Ducks, Marie Taylor, gave birth, prematurely, to twin boys at 26 weeks. Unfortunately one of the twins died after a few days but after along spell in Basildon hospital the other boy came home and is now a happy, healthy child.
