Billericay School

In order to address the concerns of local residents and other interested parties the school has carried out ecological, landscape and archaeological surveys of the school farm site the recommendations of which have been included in a new planning application which seeks permission to develop the site.  

Whilst the development area remains at 4.2 acres (1.7 hectares) the number of dwellings has been reduced from 70 to 51units which gives a density of 30 dwellings per hectare. The ecological survey has assessed the site as “medium to low” in respect of badger and reptile populations and has recommended that a 16.5 metre wide corridor be created on the western side of the site in order to give them space.
