Billericay Ceramic Circle
Billericay Ceramic Circle meets at 7.30pm on the second Monday of each month in The Day Centre, Chantry Way. At about half of the monthly meetings the Circle holds a “pot night” when one of the expert members of the club will talk on some aspect of ceramic manufacture, decoration or marketing for the benefit of the members. Every third month or so an outside expert will be invited to give a lecture and this year visiting experts include Paul Atterbury. The Circle has organised trips to quality antique fairs and ceramic exhibitions, at low cost to its members, and has also held antique fairs of its own, sometimes inviting outside exhibitors to ensure there is a wide range of items to attract the public. The Circle has a first class reference library on ceramic history and art. New members, or occasional visitors, are welcome. The annual membership fee is £18
