St. Luke's Hospice Update
One of the many challenges facing St Luke’s is to communicate with and inform its supporters and the public about the work of the Hospice as well as how to offer a two way communication network.
With that in mind St. Luke’s is delighted to announce the launch of their newly designed web site on www.stlukeshospice.com, which, provides an array of information. The site is designed to provide information for service users, fundraisers, healthcare professionals and anyone with a general interest in Hospice work. The site also offers secure facilities for direct on line and tribute donations, up to the minute event, news and vacancy information, as well as the ability to down-load many forms and leaflets.
The cost of re-designing the site has been met by Billericay based company Mayflower Communications and the Hospice is grateful for their support as it has enabled them to not only improve their communication and PR but also allowed a greater amount of funding to be released for direct patient care.

St Luke’s Hospice is a not for profit registered charity which means that it is totally independent and self-funding. In recognition of the good work that the Hospice is currently carrying out in the community it receives financial support from the Primary Care Trust; however it still needs to raise in excess of a million pounds each year to keep services running – no mean feat.
Money is raised through various events organised by the Hospice and other organisations, St Luke’s Hospice shops (which sell donated goods), as well as donations generously given by businesses, clubs, schools and individuals. The Hospice has several community fundraising groups, one of which is based in Billericay, and its fundraising team would be delighted to hear from anyone who would like to help by organising or taking part in an event. There are simple ways in which you can help e.g. by having a loose change collecting box in your home or place of work, selling raffle tickets for the grand draw.
