Coach Trips

Please note that all payments should be made as soon as possible and sent to the person named on the trip advertisement. Cheques should be made payable to BDRA and the trip title shown on the back of the cheque. Departure points for all trips: GG - Gooseberry Green, bus stop at roundabout, OA – Orchard Avenue, approaching Stock Road, LR – Laindon Road, bus stop between Sun Corner and the fire station, SG – South Green, bus stop to Wickford, opposite the retirement apartments.
Please note – When a trip is confirmed the fare must be paid as soon as possible. If concession prices are quoted (ie seniors, children) these should be requested at the time of booking or the full price will apply. In the event that you need to cancel all efforts will be made to resell your seats, however if we are unable to resell your seats you are liable for payment.

THURSDAY 29TH OCTOBER – BBC BROADCASTING HOUSE AND SILVER VAULTS. FULL

We arrive at BBC Broadcasting House for our guided tour, where our guides will bring to life the work of the BBC's new state of the art multimedia broadcasting centre. We will visit the One Show studio.
After our tour there will be free time to have lunch or browse in nearby Regent Street. After lunch our coach will take us to the Silver Vaults in Chancery Lane.
Cost: Cons 25.50. Adults 27.25. (Please bring I.D. For BBC tour as it can be requested, bus passes are acceptable. Also no penknives or sharp objects are allowed).

FRIDAY 13TH NOVEMBER – ELY CATHEDRAL CHRISTMAS GIFT AND FOOD FARE

Due to the popularity of this trip last year we are running it again. This hugely successful Christmas gift and food fare is one of East Anglia's exceptional Christmas shopping experiences.
Over 150 stalls will be exhibiting, all inside the Cathedral along with the festive food hall, offering its usual array of edible delights.
Throughout the event you can enjoy regular floral presentations and seasonal cookery demonstrations. Musical entertainment will be provided by the Cathedral choristers.
Food and drink is available to buy in the heated Cafe Marquee.
Cost: 17 which includes coach and entry to the cathedral and fare.

SUNDAY NOVEMBER 29TH – VICTORIAN FESTIVAL OF CHRISTMAS AT PORTSMOUTH DOCKYARD

This is the largest Xmas market on the south coast where you can browse for unique gifts, festive food and much more.
Wander the snow covered Dickensian streets, see a traditional Father Xmas dressed in green and a wonderland of Victorian characters and entertainment.
Visit the Mary Rose Museum, HMS Victory, HMS Warrior, HMS Monitory M33 (this is a new addition to the dockyard) The National Museum of the Royal Navy, Action Stations, Xmas Market and weather permitting a 45 minute harbour cruise all included in the ticket price.
If that's not enough you can visit the shopping outlet nearby for some retail therapy.

SATURDAY 5TH DECEMBER 2015 – A TRIP TO LONDON

Join us for a day trip to London. You have a free day to sight see, visit one of the many museums/galleries, see the Christmas lights or do some Christmas shopping.
Alternatively visit Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park where you can take a leisurely stroll around the Christmas Market which gives you plenty of choice across more than 200 fairy lit Bavarian style wooden chalets.
For the more adventurous tickets can be purchased online for all the other attractions associated with Winter Wonderland.
