Coach Trips

BDRA Coach Trips are open to BDRA members and their guests, bookings can only be made by BDRA Members. Membership of the Association is open to residents of Billericay, Great Burstead, South Green and Little Burstead. If you wish to join the BDRA please e-mail resident@bdra.org

Please note that all payments should be made as soon as possible and sent to the person named on the trip advertisement. Cheques should be made payable to BDRA and the trip title shown on the back of the cheque. Departure points for all trips: GG - Gooseberry Green, bus stop at roundabout, OA – Orchard Avenue, approaching Stock Road, LR – Laindon Road, bus stop between Sun Corner and the fire station, SG – South Green, bus stop to Wickford, opposite the retirement apartments.
Please note – When a trip is confirmed the fare must be paid as soon as possible. If concession prices are quoted (ie seniors, children) these should be requested at the time of booking or the full price will apply. In the event that you need to cancel all efforts will be made to resell your seats, however if we are unable to resell your seats you are liable for payment.

Have a day to yourself to explore Cambridge at your leisure. There is the Fitzwilliam Museum and Kettles yard, both are free, also the Cambridge and County Folk Museum, which has a small entrance fee. These attractions are all a short walk from the city centre. Alternatively you may wish to board the Hop on Hop off bus, browse the antique shops, visit the Botanical Gardens or have a walk/punt along the river.

Wednesday 1st November 2017 "Kinky Boots" Matinee performance Adelphi Theatre London

With songs by pop icon Cyndi Lauper, this joyous musical is about friendships we discover and the belief that you can change the world when you change your mind. Inspired by true events Kinky Boots takes you from a gentleman's shoe factory in Northampton to the glamorous catwalks of Milan. There will be time to have lunch before the performance.

Friday 17th November - Ely Cathedral Christmas Gift and Food Fair

 This hugely successful Christmas gift and food fare is one of East Anglia's exceptional Christmas shopping experiences. Over 150 stalls will be exhibiting this year, all inside the cathedral along with the festive food hall, offering its usual array of edible delights.
 Throughout the event you can enjoy regular floral presentations and seasonal cookery demonstrations. Musical entertainment will be provided by the cathedral choristers. Food and drink is available to purchase in the heated Cafe Marquee.

Cost:    18 which includes coach and entry to the cathedral and fair.

SATURDAY 25TH NOVEMBER 2017 – BURY ST.EDMUNDS CHRISTMAS FAYRE.

The Historic centre of Bury St. Edmunds will be transformed into a wonderful Christmas market with colourful stalls selling local produce and crafts as well as traders from around the UK and mainland Europe, with traditional fairground rides and on stage entertainment.
 The Angel Hill area of Bury St. Edmunds, with its  Cathedral, medieval Abbey Gate and links with Charles Dickens is the ideal setting for a traditional Christmas Fayre.
Visitors on Friday and Saturday will be able to sample the delights of Bury's provisions market on the Buttermarket and Cornhill, the date this year coincides with the Cathedral's Christmas fair and the Medieval Fayre in Moyse's Hall Museum. There really is something for everyone
