BROADCAST STATIONS & OUTSIDE
BROADCAST RECORDINGS:

Over the years I recorded all kinds of interesting stations and transmissions, but most of these ended up just being packed away in an old box gathering dust. With the advent of the Internet it has now given me a chance to dig out some of the better ones and convert them into .mpeg format, and display them here on this page. Some might be of interest, and others just of curiosity value, but here they are anyway. There are still many more to be converted, the hardest job is finding the time to plough all the old tapes, often to find just a few minutes (or seconds in some cases) of rare and memorable moments. This will be an ongoing task, and as new ones are resurrected and cleaned and digitally edited, they will be added to the collection below. You will also find a number of recordings made by other DXers, I am very grateful to them for allowing me to display them here for visitors to listen to. If you have a recording you would like to include here please do contact me with the details.

Running time is just over 2 minutes. (515kb)
The Games 87.7 THE GAMES 87.7 MHz - July 2002 saw a very successful 17th Commonwealth Games held in Manchester, and several temporary RSL stations were on air during the event. This station was run by Key 103, and this recording includes three of their Idents/jingles. This one will never be held again, so it's worthy of inclusion in the "rarity" section here! (88.6kb)
GMR OB Loop GMR OB LOOP ON 446 MHz - From time to time all kinds of weird and wonderful Ident loops appear on OB link frequencies when no actual tranmissions are taking place, this one is an excellent example (63.9kb).
Radio Heywood RADIO HEYWOOD 87.7 MHz - I've always had a soft spot for RSL stations, this one from a neighbouring town puts in an appearance from time to time, this is a taster of their ident (39.1kb).
